The Miniature Magic Punch Needle is a fine, adjustable punch needle designed for very small, detailed punch needle work — perfect when you want control, delicacy, and beautifully defined stitches.
This is my go-to punch needle for small, intricate designs, tiny details and textures.

This miniature punch needle is based on the original model used by the Russian Old Believers in the 17th century.
Each needle is still handmade using the traditional design and measures approximately 5cm in length.
Some of the stitch styles you can create
With this needle, you can create a variety of flat and three-dimensional punch needle stitches, including:
1. The Bubble stitch
Using the needle as is (with the blue tubing in place), tiny raised loops are formed — so small they resemble French knots or miniature bubbles.
2. Loop stitch
On the largest setting (with the blue tubing removed), the needle creates a larger three-dimensional loop.
3. Velvet stitch
Cut the larger loops to create a soft, velvet-like surface.
You can also cut the tubing to create different loop lengths. If you’d rather not cut the original tubing, you can use a phone cable with a 1mm hole, trimmed to your preferred size.
Threads & materials
This miniature punch needle works best with:
* 1–2 strands of embroidery floss
* No. 8 and No. 12 perle /pearl cotton
You can use a variety of backing fabrics. If you’re a beginner, Weavers Cloth is a great place to start.

* Denim
* Silk
Choose a fabric with a tight weave and no stretch for best results. I sell a linen and cotton mix fabric with works perfectly with the needle.
